Susan and Charles lived with their family in Park Rapids, Minn., for quite a number of years. She was a devoted mother and a great lover of her home (from the Park Rapids, Minn., Enterprise, Aug. 10, 1939). She died of uraemai, probably central nervous system hemorrhage. She and her husband are buried in Park Rapids, Minn., in Greenwood Cemetery, lot 130.

Susan's father, John Taylor, was born in Des Moines, Ia., and died at age 33. Susan's mother, Cynthia Radcliff, was also born in Des Moines, Ia. Susan's parents were married June 25, 1871 in Boone Co., Iowa.
